Danny, Darcey & Nicholas are just 3 regular guys. Danny and Darcey are brothers and Nicholas is somehow related to them. All of them graduated from a 4 year University program in 2007. The regular 9-5 job wasn’t really something that they were ready to do just yet (hence the 4 years wasted…in University).
Instead, on September 14th 2007, they began the ULTIMATE ROAD TRIP. One that would take them across Canada and the United States. With a 94 Chevrolet Blazer and not very much cash they managed to spend very little money along the way. They stayed in tents at campgrounds around the country and bought groceries to prepare their own meals. After a month of traveling they had spent about $1000 each including gas, meals, beer and camping fees. Their venture brought them from Northern Ontario across to British Columbia and down through the west coast of the United States.
All 3 managed to find jobs at Whistler for the winter. Danny was a parking attendant, Darcey worked in the warehouse and Nicholas was a lift attendant. During their days off they did plenty of skiing. They met a lot of cool people along the way. People from all over the world. A lot of people at working at Whistler were from Australia. Through out the winter they had several friends and family members make the trip to Whistler to visit.
Danny and Darcey left Whistler in April of 2008 to make their way back to Northern Ontario in time for tree plant season. On their way back they managed to catch 8 NHL hockey games. Two friends that they worked with in Whistler, Ben & Matt, who are both from Australia came to Northern Ontario to work the tree plant season with them. Danny & Darcey worked the summer in Northern Ontario. Danny moved to Ottawa in September and has recently found a job with the government. Darcey worked through out the summer to save money to go to Australia.
Nicholas stayed in Whistler longer than Danny and Darcey did. Once he was done working in Whistler he and several other friends he met while in Whistler rented a motor home and cruised around California for 2 weeks. Once their California trip was over he went to Mexico for a month where he met up with more people that he had met while working at Whistler. When all the traveling was over, Nicholas went back to Southern Ontario where he worked to save money to go to Australia.
Darcey and Nicholas are set to take off for Australia January 26th, 2009.
